Lone Tree, CO · Kitchen Remodeling

Kitchen remodeling in Lone Tree.

Lone Tree homes are newer and upscale, so a kitchen here is usually a finish upgrade, not a rescue. We take a dated 1990s or 2000s builder kitchen in Heritage Hills or RidgeGate and bring it up to the level the neighborhood expects.

What we see in Lone Tree kitchens

Lone Tree kitchens are newer, so this is about finish, not repair.

Lone Tree was incorporated in 1996 and most of it was built from the 1990s through the 2010s, so the bones are usually solid. At roughly 6,000 feet elevation on the Palmer Divide, the homes here are big and the kitchens started nice, then dated. Here is what usually turns up.

The dated builder kitchen

A 1990s or 2000s kitchen in Heritage Hills or Carriage Club often has builder-grade cabinets, laminate or early granite, and a big but awkward island. We keep what works and swap the finishes: new cabinetry, quartz, and a layout that actually cooks.

Opening it to the great room

Newer plans are more open than old Denver homes, but there is often still one wall between the kitchen and the great room. In a two-story it may be load-bearing, so we size a beam for the span and open it up cleanly.

Matching the neighborhood

In RidgeGate and Heritage Estates, the kitchen has to match the rest of a high-end house. We plan cabinets to the ceiling, a real range setup, and lighting that suits a big room, so the kitchen is not the weak link when you sell.

The island that runs the room

These homes were built for entertaining, and the island is the center of it. We rework the island for seating, a prep sink, and storage, and run the electrical and plumbing to code so the finished look holds up.

Hard water and the fixtures

Hard water is a Front Range constant and it chews up faucets and spotless glass. We plan for filtration and pick fixtures that hold up, so your new kitchen still looks new a few years in.

The permit and the HOA

Move plumbing, gas, or electrical and it pulls a permit with the City of Lone Tree under Municipal Code Chapter 18, applied for through the city Accela portal. Your neighborhood HOA is a separate approval. We handle both so nothing stalls.

"They remodeled my bathroom and built a metal railing around my staircase. They did a great job on both projects, timely and responsive to all my requests. I would recommend JAC to anyone in the area."

Lone Tree kitchen questions

What homeowners ask us.

Do I need a permit to remodel a kitchen in Lone Tree?
If we move plumbing or gas, change electrical, or take out a wall, yes. That work pulls a permit with the City of Lone Tree Building Division under Municipal Code Chapter 18 and gets inspected, applied for through the city Accela portal. A like-for-like cabinet and counter swap may not. We handle the paperwork and the inspections. Confirm current fees with the city.
My Lone Tree kitchen is from the 1990s or 2000s. What is worth changing?
Most Lone Tree homes were built newer, so the plumbing and wiring are usually fine. The dated part is the finish: builder cabinets, laminate or early granite, and tired lighting. We bring the kitchen up to the quality of the neighborhood with new cabinetry, quartz, a reworked island, and better lighting.
Can you open up the wall to make the kitchen bigger?
Often yes. Many newer plans are already fairly open, but where a wall stays it may carry load in a two-story home. We check the framing, size a beam for the span, and open it up so the kitchen flows into the great room the way you want.
Does my HOA need to approve a kitchen remodel?
Most Lone Tree neighborhoods like Heritage Hills and RidgeGate have an HOA with design review. Interior work is usually clear, but anything visible from outside, like a new window, can need approval. That is separate from the city permit. We flag it early so nothing stalls.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. JAC Enterprise is licensed and insured. License and insurance details come with your written estimate.
