Picking a bathroom remodeler is a big decision, and Lakewood has plenty of companies to choose from. We remodel homes here every week, so we will be upfront: yes, we think we are a great choice. But a good remodel comes down to a few things you can check on any company. Here is how to choose, plus the companies doing solid work in Lakewood.
What makes a good bathroom remodeler in Lakewood
Before you compare names, these are the things that matter most in Lakewood homes:
- They plan for older Denver homes. Homes here hide old plaster, dated wiring, and patched plumbing behind the walls. A good remodeler opens it up, shows you what is there, and fixes it right instead of covering it up.
- They handle the permit and inspections. Most bathroom remodels that move plumbing or touch electrical need a city or county permit. The right company pulls it and schedules the inspections so the work is to code.
- They put it in writing, line by line. A clear, itemized estimate, every material and cost, means no surprises later and an easy way to compare bids.
- They have real, recent reviews. Look for a steady stream of recent 5-star Google reviews, not a handful from years ago.
- The crew you meet is the crew that builds. Ask who is actually on your job. Owner-led crews tend to care more about the details.
Top bathroom remodelers in Lakewood
Listed with the best fit first. We only include established local companies and describe each one fairly. We do not link out to any of them, so you can compare in one place.
1. JAC Enterprise (Top rated)
We remodel bathrooms across Lakewood, from compact hall baths in older ranches to full primary suites. You work with Joshua, the owner, from the first walkthrough to the final clean-up, with one small crew instead of a rotating cast of subs. We plan for what is behind the walls in older Denver homes, pull the permits, handle the inspections, and put a clear, itemized price in writing before any work starts. That is the part homeowners tell us they remember most.
2. Christie's Design/Build Remodeling
A Denver-metro design-build firm with more than 25 years of kitchen and bath work that serves the Lakewood area. A solid second bid.
3. Starwood Renovation
A long-running metro remodeler that takes on Lakewood bathrooms as part of larger renovations.
4. Gather & Spruce
A design-remodel studio and National Kitchen and Bath Association member for a higher-end, design-forward bathroom.
Why homeowners keep rating us 5 stars
Whoever you hire, read their recent Google reviews and look for a pattern. Across our own 4.8-star reviews, the same three things come up again and again: honest quotes, clear communication, and a crew that cleans up every day. One homeowner put it this way: "Great attention to detail. They did a bathroom remodel and it turned out amazing. Josh was on top of every detail." (Vanessa P., Google review). Find a remodeler people describe that way, and you are in good hands, whether that is us or someone else.
